(Isa. 40:9-14)  ⁹ Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”  ¹⁰ Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.  ¹¹ He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.  ¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?  ¹³ Who has measured the Spirit of the LORD, or what man shows him his counsel?  ¹⁴ Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?

(Heb. 10:12-17) ¹² But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,  ¹³ waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.  ¹⁴ For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.  ¹⁵ And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,  ¹⁶ “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”  ¹⁷ then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
